Star of our constellation, Soleilla shows us the way, that of a sensory journey, rich in emotions and meaning. Soleilla is also the voice of Nature, where everywhere biodynamics finds its expression. It is an invitation to look, contemplate, appreciate life differently in a unique natural setting. Villa Soleilla pays tribute to the first orange wines, made in Georgia 4,500 years ago using the same ancestral know-how.
The grapes, harvested by hand, are subject to maceration (carbonic or destemmed) before pressing in order to obtain a complex and varied aromatic expression while working on the tannic structure. After pressing, halfway through fermentation, the musts are placed in barrels and amphoras. The wine is aged for 8 months until bottling.
The complex nose combines notes of garrigue, thyme, caramel and honey. The palate is full and complex. Spicy, fruity apricot aromas and floral notes are complemented by a harmonious tannic structure.
To be enjoyed with lamb tagine, roasted vegetables with mild spices and mature cheeses.

Our family has a tradition of "Laundry Room wine". It is wine of a high caliber that we hide in the laundry room and only tell a select few about. Those who have a discerning appreciation for tasty wines! Blanc Gris quickly became a "laundry room wine' after my husband and I discovered it on our recent vacation to the Languedoc region of France. I brought it to share with my daughter and sister-in-law who greatly appreciated this addition to our Laundry Room Wine List

I can not find this wine locally, but the nearest Costco carries it around Christmas. I think it is the perfect summer wine. It is light and not very sweet; and the bottle is exquisite. I will order again before the summer is over, I am sure.
