Our Single Vineyards
Gérard Bertrand, a leading figure in Languedoc-Roussillon wine, offers a collection of exceptional wines from special single-vineyards carefully selected for their unique terroir and outstanding potential. Among these gems, Le Viala, Plantabelle and La Forge stand out for their distinctive character and their ability to express all the richness and authenticity of the great wines of southern France.

Le Viala: Right in the heart of the prestigious Minervois-La Livinière appellation, Le Viala draws its quintessence from a special plot of Château Laville Bertrou. This cuvée, made with Syrah, Grenache and Carignan grapes, embodies the excellence of La Livinière's terroirs. Careful hand-harvesting and meticulous ageing reveal all the complexity and depth of this wine, which stands out for its bewitching aromas and powerful mouthfeel. An exceptional wine to be enjoyed with refined dishes.

Plantabelle: Upstream the Pitrous valley, the Plantabelle plot benefits from an exceptional terroir of schist soils. The old Grenache noir and Syrah vines that thrive here fully express the richness of this unique terroir. Hand-picking and barrel ageing give this cuvée remarkable elegance and complexity, with aromas of ripe fruit and Garrigue.A powerful yet subtle wine, to be savored with pleasure.

La Forge: In honor to his father and family traditions, Gérard Bertrand presents this exceptional wine made from old Carignan vines, some over 100 years old. This cuvée, AOP Corbières Boutenac, has a dark color and explosive aromas of finely toasted ripe fruit. Full-bodied on the palate, this wine reveals all its power and elegance, with exceptional ageing potential. A wine to be tasted with respect and savored over time.

L'Hospitalitas: At the summit of Château l'Hospitalet, this parcel benefits from an exceptional microclimate, allowing the grapes to ripen slowly and progressively.
Part of the Syrah is vatted in whole bunches, while the other part, as well as the Mourvèdre, are destemmed before being vinified in traditional maceration.Aged in new barrels for around 12 months, this wine has a suave attack, with smooth tannins and a long finish.A wine with great ageing potential.

Together, these single plots testify to Gérard Bertrand's commitment to the excellence and diversity of Languedoc-Roussillon wines, offering connoisseurs and wine lovers unique and memorable taste experiences.
